ABOUT
Sue's Bio
"I'm here because I want to help schools make sense of the science of wellbeing and how to integrate it into everything they do."
With a diverse professional background across teaching, educational leadership, counselling, coaching, conflict resolution, professional supervision, training, and workplace wellness design, I transform strategic plans and influence school leadership through critical reflection, problem-posing, dialogue, cross-examining the status quo and ultimately, action.
I have a passion for driving positive and transformational cultural change in schools with a particular interest in the integration of the science of wellbeing into whole school systems, to build individual and collective wellbeing and impact teacher practice.

SUE'S BIO

Prior to launching Transformative Schools, I spent five years as the inaugural Head of Wellbeing at All Hallows’ School, in Brisbane, where I held strategic responsibility for the design, project planning and implementation of the whole-school wellbeing framework. My approach began with imagination, alignment with context and evidence-based approaches and culminated in a range of student care practices linking wellbeing to successful student outcomes in relation to learning, personal achievement, social competence and emotional resilience. I have presented workshops on my wellbeing design concepts at state and national conferences and was a member of the Positive Education Schools Association (PESA) - QLD Chapter - when it first formed in 2018. In the same year, I was a guest on the ‘Pioneers of Positive Education’ podcast series with Dr Suzy Green. You can listen to it here!
More recently, I have been a guest on the Flourishing at School podcast with Jason van Schie and Tamara Lechner and the Wonders of Wellbeing podcast with Aimee Parkinson.
